  As has been the case in so many other previous occasions, My Suicide has SWEPT the awards at the Giffoni Film Festival, the largest youth film festival in all of Europe! In the Generator 16+ category, My Suicide won Best Film, Audience Award, and the MyMovies user's choice award. And finally, Giffoni awarded My Suicide the Golden Gryphon for Best Overall Film! Woo!  My Suicide screened on June 10 and 11, 2009 at the Seattle International Film Festival, the United States' largest and longest film festival. Not only that, musician Rocky Votolato, featured heavily in the My Suicide soundtrack, performed a short acoustic set ahead of the first showing. And as a final top-off, My Suicide won BEST FEATURE in the FUTUREWAVE CATEGORY! A program of films targeted towards youth, a youth jury once again praised our film, "for its ability to bring an issue clouded by controversy bravely into focus for a breadth of audiences through exceptional editing and organic character progression." My Suicide screened in the 14th Annual GenArt Film Festival in New York City on April 4th, and won the Jury Award For Best Feature, Audience Award for Best Feature, and the Stargazer Award for best performance from an emerging talent for Gabriel Sunday!  My Suicide had its North American Premiere as an Official Selection in the South By Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas, as part of its Emerging Visions program. Interscope Records threw an afterparty featuring a special performance by Blue October!  |
